       Vinton Shellsburg left Independence with a win Friday night, and headed home for more tough games next week.     The Vikings ended a week of road games with a 58-46 win at Independence.

     Bouncing back from a tough 5-point loss at Williamsburg on Tuesday, the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings went to La Porte City on Thursday, where they defeated Union, 53-34.

    The team from Fareway/Tharp leads the co-ed division in the VPRD volleyball league. Ron-Da-Voo leads the men's division while Terry's Gutter service and Iron Shed/Hummel's lead the two women's divisions.

       Once again the guys did a super job representing our school Tuesday night at Waterloo.        Despite some illnesses, we managed to hang in and beat Waterloo East 95-75 at their home pool.
