The BIG Program is made possible by funds received through the Hotel Occupancy Tax program within the City of Vinton.The objectives of the program are 1) to support rehabilitation and preservation of commercial property; 2) encourage new business; and 3) retain, revitalize and expand an existing business in Vinton.

Ideal Industries, Inc. announced today that it is positioning for the COVID-19 recovery period by consolidating operations in its Vinton plant. Ideal's production in Oelwein will continue until June 11, 2020, in its north plant and until July 31, 2020, in its south plant. Noth locations in are in the Oelwein Industrial Park.One-third of Ideal's Oelwein workforce will be retained.
