Farmers can improve their grazing management through the Grassroots Grazing program, a new grazing systems education and networking program intended for young and beginning farmers and hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.

Farmers Savings Bank & Trust to mark 100th year
Farmers Savings Bank & Trust of Vinton is celebrating its first century, along with its traditional Thursday community meal this week.
FSB President Darlys Hulme said that in both Vinton and Traer, the banks have solid buildings and great staffs. She said no major changes are in the works at either location in the near future.
Farmers Savings Bank & Trust has long been involved in both communities, says Hulme, adding that residents of both communities are familiar with the institutions and staff members.
