Stein, earns Qualifying & Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table

As part of his ongoing commitment to providing valued service to Farm Bureau Financial Services customers, Farm Bureau agent Randy Stein, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF has recently been recognized as a Qualifying and Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table.  This prestigious honor is only given when an MDRT member has met the top producing level of requirements for 10 years.

Party In Pink Trophies   It’s been 1 year since Ashley Hesson took over Vinton Trophy & Awards from previous owners Lee & Barb Smith, who operated the business for 27 of the 30 years of its existence. Despite the anniversary landing on Friday the 13th, it’s a day worth celebrating! What has the year produced? Well, other than a HUGE amount of wisdom gleaned from Lee and Barb about the various intricacies of running a successful awards and engraving business…  Characters engraved: 26,677  Trophies constructed: 514  Plaques produced: 163  Medals made: 836    While the Vinton-Shellsburg Schools, Virginia Gay Hospital, and Vinton Parks & Recreation Department are frequent (and much appreciated!) customers, the largest portion of business comes from various individuals and small businesses who request unique jobs.

Extension plans Outreach Week for March 22-28

  Coots Materials Company, Vinton, Iowa employees were recognized at the Iowa Limestone Producers Association's 70th Annual Convention recently held in Iowa City.    Coots Materials employees operating in Plant #1 and #2 were honored for working the entire year of 2014 without a lost-time accident.

Jody Herger Elected to ILPA Board of Directors

Jody Herger Jody Herger, Coots Materials Co., Vinton, Iowa has been elected to serve on the Iowa Limestone Producers Association's Board of Directors, during their recent 70s Annual Convention. Jody grew up on a farm outside of Vinton and was an active participant in 4-H and FFA. At the age of 17 Jody bought a race car and raced every Sunday at the Benton County Speedway.

Clickstop donation drive was big success; outreach continues

Boxes stacked up quickly, packed and overflowing with items all to help local families in need. That was the scene last month as Clickstop hosted its first donation drive for its newly created charity organization, Clickstop Cares. Donors dropped-off gently-used clothing, housewares and toys during the community-wide event. The organization stores items in a Clickstop-owned building on Bing Miller Lane in Urbana.

Still growing: Clickstop adds 12 employees

Urbana-based Clickstop has recently expanded its workforce with 12 new employees. Eleven new team members have joined the company’s flagship brand, USCargoControl.com in the areas of marketing, sales, and manufacturing. The Marketing team welcomed Alan McKay and Katie Linder. McKay will assist in the improvement and maintenance of the back end of the e-commerce website.
