Alliant Energy Foundation provides grants to central Iowa non-profits

    $26,515 provided to communities and charitable groups in first grant cycle of 2011      The Alliant Energy Foundation contributed $26,515 to non-profit organizations to support Iowa communities in the central part of its utility service territory in the first of three grant cycles in 2011. The Foundation provided Community Grants to 20 charitable groups throughout Jones, Clinton, Marshall, Delaware, Hardin, Cedar, Benton, Johnson, Story, Boone, Carroll, and Iowa counties.

Perfect Recertification for Windsor Manor

    Windsor Manor in Vinton is a State Certified Assisted Living Community.  This means we have specific rules and regulations that we are required to adhere to.  The State does on-site visits every 2 years to conduct a survey and recertify the assisted living community. The state may also visit if there is a complaint.

VU After 5 takes place at Meyer's Farm Bureau office

Teresa Meyer and her staff welcomed VU members to the After 5 event Friday.     The monthly After 5 event sponsored by Vinton Unlimited for its members took place Friday at the office of Farm Bureau agent Teresa Meyer and her staff on First Avenue. Each month a different VU member business welcomes members to their place for refreshments and a chance to share what is new at that business.
