In the first meeting with the newly elected Board of Supervisors, the meeting began with Supervisors Ron Tippett, Tracy Seeman and Bruce Volz. The first order of business was to elect a chairman of the board. Volz made a motion to appoint Seeman, Tippett and Volz voted to approve. The minutes and agenda were then approved. The Vice-Chair was appointed and will be Ron Tippett for 2025.

 Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig introduced the team he has selected to lead the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship in 2025. The group is comprised of both tenured advisors and talented new acquisitions.“Agriculture is the heart of our state. When agriculture thrives, so do our economy and rural communities,” said Secretary Naig.

The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in their weekly meeting on Thursday, December 31 at 9:00 A.M. With all three members present, Rick Primmer, Tracy Seeman and Gary Bierschenk it will be the last that the three will officially serve together. Newly elected Supervisors will be sworn in after the first of the year. The agenda and minutes were approved.
