NOTICE OF POST-ELECTION AUDIT Pursuant to Code of Iowa Sec. 50.51, the Secretary of State’s Office has ordered a post-election audit of the February 25, 2025 Special City of Urbana Election for the Urbana Precinct. The Benton County Auditor’s Office will conduct this audit on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The audit will take place in the Auditor’s Office at the Benton County Courthouse on the 2nd floor, 111 E 4th Street, Vinton, IA.

McClintock's Week in Wrap February 17-21

Sixth Week of the 2025 Legislative Session       Week six of the 2025 Legislative Session kept me busy, especially since we are now approaching our first deadline of the year. This deadline has us working hard to get bills through subcommittees and committees. We also had a lot of visitors at the Capitol this week, including Second Amendment supporters, community college students, and health care professionals.

Benton County Board of Supervisor Minutes February 20, 2025

February 20, 2025 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met for a special meeting to participate in a zoom call with Heartland Insurance regarding the property insurance renewals with Supervisors Seeman and Tippett present. Volz was absent. Chairman Seeman called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. at the Benton County Service Center. The purpose of the meeting was to jointly participate in a zoom meeting that Heartland Insurance Risk Pool put on for all members.
