Mathis Sole Democrat Challenger for Iowa's Second Congressional District

Liz Mathis officially filed petition paperwork with Iowa’s Secretary of State’s Office today to run as the Democratic challenger in Iowa’s newly redrawn 2nd Congressional District. “Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers in every county across the district, we have collected double what was required and worked to secure more than a thousand signatures for statewide and statehouse candidates up and down the ballot,” said Liz Mathis.

Gov. Reynolds issues disaster proclamation for counties including Benton County

Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation for ten counties in response to the March 5 severe weather. The governor's proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of this severe weather in Adair, Benton, Decatur, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Polk, Tama, Warren, and Wayne counties. In response to the governor's proclamation, the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program (IIAGP) and the Iowa Disaster Case Management program(IDCM) have been activated.

Recovery Steps Outlined for Families Impacted by March 5th Tornado
