Electric Rebate Applications Available Online for Vinton Residents

The City of Vinton is excited to announce a new partnership with the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities (IAMU) to help facilitate our electric rebate program! Beginning April 18, 2022, all rebates will need to be submitted through an online portal located at www.cityofvinton.org under “Departments” – “Electric” – “Rebates.

Hello District 75 from the State Capitol!

The Buchanan County Freedom Rock at the Heartland Acres Event Center, Independence, IA.  Week 15 was slow for most of the legislators, and the 100th day was on April 19th which was the last day for legislators to receive a daily stipend for housing and meals.  The House and Senate leadership continue to work on negotiations for the budgets.  Also, one of Governor Reynolds and the Senate’s priorities areto see school Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) signed into law.
