Hello Iowa House district 75! Week 5
Hello everyone! During week 5, a few of the highlights were the House passed the K-12 Education funding bill, and continue to work on many other bills in subcommittees and committees.Math Remains a Tricky Subject as House Increases School Funding Once AgainMath. It’s a hard subject for many students regardless of their grade level. Even after graduation, math can bedevil even the smartest amongst us.
Iowa Dept. of Ag and Land Stewardship Awards 4.1 Million to Improvement Projects
More creeks added to water quality improvement projects happening in Benton, Black Hawk, Clayton, Winneshiek and Washington counties Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig announced today that five Soil & Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) located in Eastern Iowa have been awarded grant money to increase the scope of ongoing water quality improvement projects.

HELLO HOUSE DISTRICT 75 FROM THE STATE CAPITOL!
The State House voted on some very important bills this last week, including K-12 Education funding and some immediate flood recovery for the very hard-hit areas in southwest Iowa and the Quad Cities.The Education funding package voted on by the House amounted to an increase of $108 million includes almost $95 million in general aid, $7.65 million for more equity in rural school transportation costs, and $5.
March 7th Forum with State Senator and Representative changes location
The forum with Iowa State Senator Tim Kapucian and State Representative Tom Gerhold, scheduled for Saturday, March 7th, 2020 will be held at the Van Horne Legion Hall, 119 Main Street in Van Horne, at the regularly scheduled time of 1 p.m. The original location - the Van Horne Community Center - has another function.
