If you're a Republican, why go to the Caucus?

You might think that all you do when attending a caucus is to choose the candidate that will represent your party in the Presidential Election. This year the incumbent, Donald Trump will, of course, be the nominee for the Republican Party. So why attend? The purpose of the caucus is also to create the platform that your party will stand on. What would you like the party to say that they believe in?Do you have a "plank" that you'd like to add to the party's platform? If you do, you attend the caucus and share that with the folks in attendance.
