Due to the rising COVID-19 cases in Benton County, there are many concerns about reducing the risk of spread. The library will operate under "Orange" Status, which enforces some strict guidelines about services offered.

Today, Gov. Reynolds signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that modifies existing public health measures designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

 A draft of the completed [upd]d 2021 Benton County Multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan is now available for public review and comment.The plan is completely indexed and has 7 sections:    Section 1: Introduction and ProfileSection 2: ResolutionsSection 3: Planning ProcessSection 4: Hazard AnalysisSection 5: Risk AssessmentSection 6: Mitigation StrategySection 7: Plan Maintenance  The plan is 469 pages long without appendices.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) delivered recorded interviews and documents comprising the stories of service from six Iowa veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces to the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project.
