Board of Supervisor Minutes 11/17/15

November 17, 2015 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese and Hertle present. Supervisor Wiley was absent. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Moved by Hertle, seconded by Frese, to approve the minutes of November 10, 2015, with the change of near Tara Hill to adjoining Tara Hills. Both members voting aye thereon.

November 10, 2015 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve the minutes of November 3, 2015. All members voting aye thereon. Motion carried. Moved by Hertle, seconded by Wiley, to approve vendor checks numbered 216771 through 216971, payroll checks numbered 138440 through 138452, and ACH payments numbered 25704 through 25835, for payment.

November 3, 2015 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Moved by Hertle, seconded by Wiley, to approve the minutes of October 27, 2015. All members voting aye thereon. Motion carried. Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve a Class B Liquor License submitted by Kimm’s Sinclair.

Benton County Democrats to meet November 17

The regular meeting of the Benton County Democrats will be held on November  17, 2015 at LA REYNA RESTAURANT, 202 W 4th St, Vinton. Come around 6:30 for a Dutch  treat supper, Mexican cuisine. The meeting will be at 7:00 pm. Anyone interested in helping the Democrats  with the upcoming election is invited to attend. NOTE THE CHANGE OF LOCATION.

Minutes of the Regular Meeting Board of Directors Vinton-Shellsburg Community Schools October 12, 2015   Call to Order President Sue Gates called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Vinton-Shellsburg Administrative Office.   Roll Call / Pledge of Allegiance Sue Gates, Jason Hicok, Brenda Bartz, Kyle Schminke, Mike Timmermans, Kathy Van Steenhuyse, Mary Jo Hainstock, Superintendent, and Karrie Bartling/Acting Secretary were present.

An arrest or criminal charge is merely an accusation and the Defendant is presumed innocent and unless proven guilty. Intrastate Warrants are issued by Law Enforcement Agencies for crimes happening in their jurisdictions.

Soil & Water Commission to meet Nov. 18

The next regular meeting of the Benton Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioners is scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, 2015. The Commissioners will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the District office in Vinton.  Items on the agenda include minutes from previous meetings, financial reports, conservation plans, Federal and State cost share programs, Watershed Project activities, and other general business.
