The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve the minutes of October 20, 2015. All members voting aye thereon. Motion carried.
Moved by Hertle, seconded by Wiley, to approve vendor checks numbered 216647 through 216770, payroll checks numbered 138427 through 138439, and ACH payments numbered 25567 through 25703, for payment.

The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve the minutes of October 13, 2015, with the change in the word “start” to “finish” relative to the road grading project.

Moved by Hertle, seconded by Wiley, to approve the minutes of October 6, 2015, with corrections.
Dawn Pettengill among legislators honored by long term services and supports pro
Representative Dawn Pettengill was among a group of state legislators honored by the Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA) and Iowa Center for Assisted Living (ICAL) in appreciation of their outstanding service in support of quality long term services and supports for Iowans. The IHCA ICAL Outstanding Service Award presentations took place at 65th annual IHCA ICAL Convention and Trade Show on September 28 and 29 held in Des Moines.
Vinton Today to hold debate with city candidates, Tonight, 7 p.m., US Bank Bldg.
Vinton Today will be hosting its first ever debate, on Tuesday evening, October 20, at 7:00 p.m. at the US Bank Building in Vinton.
Candidates are running for the City Council and the Mayoral seat will be in attendance.
Vinton Today will be asking questions sent in from our readers.
The public is welcome to attend this event!
Candidates:
Former council member Bud Maynard will challenge John Watson in the mayoral election.
