V-S parents receive notice of possible threat

Parents of middle school students in the Vinton-Shellsburg School District received notice that a student had issued a threat on Monday. However, the school reassured parents that the threat had been investigated.

Vinton Food Pantry Receives Donation from Knights of Columbus

The Vinton Food Pantry received a donation from the local  Marian Council 3893 Knights of Columbus in the amount of $700. The money will go toward the purchase of supplies for the pantry.
