Santa had a sleigh full of fun on Saturday at the Breakfast with Santa event. The event is held at the Vinton Skate Center each year. He met with children from around the Vinton area.

Shellsburg Lions Club makes donation to Food Pantry

The Shellsburg Lions Club has donated to the Share Food Pantry $100 each for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is an annual donation for the Food Pantry to help support the community.

Back Alley Art can now be seen in Downtown Vinton

The Vinton Guild of Fine Arts has been quietly working on several projects that will bring smiles to both the residents and visitors of Vinton. Their first Back Alley Art Mural has arrived on the back wall of the Sherman Building, in the alley across from City Hall.

John's Qwik Stop participated in Round-Up for Hope through the month of October donating funds to support Gifts of Hope. VGH is thankful for the efforts of JQS staff and the $800 donation supporting breast cancer awareness, women's health, and free access to mammograms.

The American Red Cross will award the Certificate of Merit, their highest honor to Kinzley Kurth of Vinton. The certificate is only for Red Cross trained individuals and off-duty professional responders.
