I can't believe that we are about to enter into 2022 already! It seems like just a few weeks ago that we wrapped up 2020!They say that time flies when you're having fun, and apparently, we've been having a ton of fun!There will be no email going out tomorrow, but you know the drill, it's not like this website EVER shuts down, there will just be one less perk tomorrow.

It’s officially winter when the snow flies, and flying it is!Just a reminder of the city codes relating to snow:69.13     SNOW REMOVAL.    No person shall park, abandon or leave unattended any vehicle on any public street, alley, or City-owned off-street parking area during snow removal operations unless the snow has been removed or plowed from said street, alley or parking area and the snow has ceased to fall.

High School Students Awarded VFW Essay Writing Contest

The local VFW post 8884 presented certificates to the essay winners in the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest. High school students were invited to participate and write on the topic of "America: Where do we go from here?” The Voice of Democracy is a script-writing program designed to give high school students the opportunity to voice their opinion on a patriotic theme, which is chosen by the VFW Commander-in-Chief.
