Vinton Lutheran Home Assisted Living donates tree to VPRD

The Vinton Lutheran Home Assisted Living residents donated a tree to Vinton Parks and Recreation to be placed at Kiwanis Park. The residents wrote on leaves saying what they love about living in our community or shared a childhood memory.

The First Christian Church held its annual Fall Festival on Saturday. There were games for everyone to enjoy, a silent auction, baked goods, grab bags, and a raffle for a beautiful quilt.

The 2021 VS Homecoming Week is September 26th through October 2nd. The VSHS Student Senate is finalizing plans for the week and will have a schedule out to the public early the week of September 20th so that everyone may participate in the tradition.

Dana Burmeister joined the crew of the Benton County Transportation Department a little over 20 years ago. She began as a part-time driver and was later a dispatcher/scheduler and in 2015 she became the Director.
