Vinton's Guild of Fine Arts unveils the first of Several Projects

The Vinton Public Library had a little bit of a facelift in their children's area on the lower level of the library. Artists from the local Vinton Guild of Fine Arts were invited by Janette McMahon of the Vinton Public Library to paint a couple of murals downstairs as well as one of the pillars.

The Benton County Farm Bureau organization, and its members, donate to the Benton County Disaster Recovery Coalition. The Farm Bureau board of directors reached out to the members in Benton County with an offer to match their donations, up to $1,000, made to the Coalition.

Benton County Cattlemen's Association Cooks Lunch

The Benton County Cattlemen’s Association treated area students with a grilled hamburger as part of their lunch on Thursday. Usually each summer the farmers lend a hand to the lunch ladies and not only bring the burgers but they prepare the hamburger patties for the meals.

Brian Carlson, a Benton County farmer, was able to be part of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Brazil Market Study trip in 2020. Carlson said that he has wanted to visit Brazil for decades, so he applied to be part of the trip and was selected to be included.
