Be The Change Presents Check to Gifts of Hope

Be The Change presented a check to the Gift of Hope Foundation on Wednesday evening. Gifts of Hope is a fund created to provide free mammograms and diagnostic services to those who need financial assistance to pay for a clinic visit, testing, co-pays, and diagnostic analysis of those tests to determine next steps, as well as Pap tests and/or pelvic exams.

A warm Saturday afternoon found the library lawn buzzing with the Craft Beer Tasting Festival on Saturday. For the 2nd year in a row, the Library has hosted the event as a way to boost library resources and to have a little bit of fun with the community.

The Vinton Legion held an Open House on Saturday to thank the public for all of their help and donations to repair the Legion Hall. After several months of being out of commission, the building is back to its former self with the memorabilia back on the walls and in the display cases.

Long Gone Items Returned “Home”

A chemise (an undergarment like a slip) circa 1860’s and a wedding dress from 1905. What do these items have in common? They were recently donated to the Benton County Historical Society from far away!The chemise was sent from the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona.
