William “Bill" Dean Grieder

William “Bill" Dean Grieder, 85, of Belle Plaine, IA passed peacefully to Jesus his Savior, surrounded by his family January 20, 2025. Bill passed from complications of Parkinson's Disease.Services will be held at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service in Belle Plaine Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Join the family as we celebrate the life of Bill with an Open House at the Belle Plaine Country Club until 4:00.

Carole Audrey Hagan Lewis

Carole passed away Jan. 25, 2025 in Spokane, WA. She was born May 18, 1936 to Charles and Laverne Hagan of Atkins, IA. She was valedictorian of her class at Atkins High School, attended Iowa State College, the University of Colorado and graduated from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. After teaching in Austin, MN and Colorado Springs, she taught missionary children for one year in Soonchun, Korea.

Eldo Henry Meyer

Eldo Henry Meyer of Garrison passed from this earth to his Lord in Heaven the early morning hours of Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the age of 92. Eldo was born in a rural home near Garrison to Henry and Beulah (Geiger) Meyer. He attended a country school through the third grade and graduated from the Garrison High School in 1951. He was married to the love of his life, Shirley Gluesing from Newhall Iowa for 69 years.

Richard Du Wayne Lewis

Richard Du Wayne Lewis, 73, of Shellsburg passed away January 13, 2025. A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 pm Saturday, February 22, at the American Legion Hall, 114 Main St. SW, Shellsburg. Gordon E. Floyd

Gordon E. Floyd, 65, passed away peacefully after a courageous 11-month battle with glioblastoma on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at St. Lukes Hospital with his wife by his side.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 1st at Blessed Hope Community Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday, also at the church.

John Wayne Holst

John Wayne Holst, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 with his family by his side. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Tara Hills Country Club (1846 70th St, Van Horne, IA). John was born on March 5, 1956 to William and Helen (Hilton) Holst. He graduated from Washington High School in Vinton in 1974.

Joyce Elaine Lefebure

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Joyce Elaine Lefebure (Fields), who left us on January 22, 2025 after a beautifully lived life. She was a wonderful mother who always said that her children were the best things in her life and her love for us was very apparent. Our mother was a strong and independent woman who made her family her priority.

Dale Bohnsack

Dale Bohnsack, 93, went to his heavenly home on January 14, 2025, after complications from a fall. Family visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1st at Oak Grove Church, 6101 32nd Street Ave, Shellsburg, Iowa. Celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. Dale was born on December 14, 1931, in Traer, Iowa. He was a man of many talents, but farming was his real passion.

Robert “Bob” Joseph Jenkins

Robert “Bob” Joseph Jenkins, 66, of Atkins, Iowa, died Monday, January 20, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on February 22, 2025, at Community of Christ Church, 1500 Blairs Ferry Road, Hiawatha, Iowa.Bob was born on February 27, 1958, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of Lawrence and Anna “Jane” (Meisel) Jenkins. He graduated from Newton High School and later attended Kirkwood Community College, where he graduated at the top of his class.

David Wesley Dorn

Following an extended illness, David Wesley Dorn, 78, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus, Rochester, MN. Per David’s wishes, private family services will be held. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is assisting the family.David was born December 22, 1946, in Dallas, OR, the son of Wesley and Marjorie (Collister) Dorn.
