Scott Paul Beauregard, 44, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family & friends by his side.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 30th, 2025, at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton.

Ralph Herman Albers

Ralph Herman Albers, age 84, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City from complications of a recent fall.A private family graveside service will be held in accordance with Ralph’s wishes.Ralph Herman Albers was born at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton on May 28, 1940; the son of John and Elsie (Cohrt) Albers.

Douglas David Mansfiled

Douglas D. Mansfield, 80, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away January 17, 2025 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.Douglas was born February 19, 1944 to Roy and Jeanne (Bohlman) Mansfield in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Douglas lived with his family in Wisconsin, California, and Gresham, Oregon, before moving to Belle Plaine, where he graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1962.

James “Jim” Patrick Martin

James “Jim” Patrick Martin, 65, of Belle Plaine, IA (formerly of North English, IA) passed away suddenly January 22, 2025 due to medical issues. Jim was born January 6, 1960 to Russell “Gus” and Helen (Polton) Martin. He grew up on the family farm in rural Parnell, IA and graduated from Williamsburg High School, class of 1978. Following school, Jim worked for Iowa County Secondary Roads Department for 33 years until retirement.

Kurtis Dean Kalina

Kurtis Dean Kalina, 67, of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2025. A Visitation will be held Monday, January 27, 2025, from 9-11 AM. at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.  Kurtis was born on November 16, 1957, the son of Sylvester Paul and Joanne Marie (Weber) Kalina.

Marcus C. “Marc” Merchant

Marcus C. “Marc” Merchant, 59, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, with his family by his side.A Celebration of Marc’s Life will be held from 1:00 until 5:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Vinton Skating Rink.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for distribution to several of Marc’s favorite charities.

James “Jimmy” Womack

James was born June 16, 1963 to Pat Womack and Shirley Berry in Harvey, IL. After graduating high school Jimmy left Illinois and went to Huntland, Tennessee where he began to work as a concrete finisher with his dad. Jimmy moved to South Florida for a few years before returning with his family to Huntland. In April 1992, Jimmy married Gayle Womack; they were blessed with two daughters before going their separate ways.

Tyler Jacobson

Tyler Jacobson, 32, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 also at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Luncheon will be held at the Urbana Legion following the service.

William “Bill" Dean Grieder

William “Bill" Dean Grieder, 85, of Belle Plaine, IA passed peacefully to Jesus his Savior, surrounded by his family January 20, 2025. Bill passed from complications of Parkinson's Disease.Services will be held at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service in Belle Plaine Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Join the family as we celebrate the life of Bill with an Open House at the Belle Plaine Country Club until 4:00.

Jack F. Mann

Jack F. Mann, 88, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away January 18, 2025, at Birkwood Village, Toledo, IA. Praise the Lord, he is fully restored!Jack was born June 22, 1936, to Vernon and Faye (Bilyeu) Mann in rural Shelby County, MO. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1954. Jack met Sandy Barnett, the love of his life while continuing his education at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College.
