Rosemary Teresa Rayman, 91, of Elberon, IA passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at Vinton Lutheran Home, Vinton, IA.Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Belle Plaine, IA with Father Dwayne Thoman and Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Harold J. Walitshek, 79, of Waterloo, died Monday, February 10, at NorthCrest Specialty Care. He was born August 22, 1940, outside of Jesup, the son of George and Caroline Nelson Walitshek. He married Lois Ferrie May 5, 1962, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waterloo. She died June 1, 2001. Harold graduated from Jesup High School in 1958, and was employed by John Deere as a machinist for 33 years before retiring in 1992.

Michael Joseph Fleck, age 72, of Vinton, formerly of the Quad Cities, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.The family will greet friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton. Ken Huelman, 73, died Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines after an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Jim Brokman as Celebrant. Wayne Thomas Newton, 84, departed this world for heaven on February 4, 2020 at his home in Blairstown. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with the Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Doris “Joann” Felker, age 86, died Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Vinton Lutheran Home. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.“Joann” was born on April 1, 1933, the daughter of Vernon and Dorothy (Gray) Kisling, and graduated from Urbana High School. Larry Emory Williams, 78, died peacefully surrounded by his family Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Lyle Naylor, 86, died peacefully at home Saturday, February 1, 2020 from a sudden illness.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, February 6, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton followed by burial in the Urbana Cemetery.Lyle was born November 2, 1933 in Brandon, IA, to Henry and Edna May Albert Naylor.
