George Elvan Little, 94, died peacefully Sunday, July 26, 2020, in Sherman, TX. George was born August 26, 1925, in Madison, WI to Ralph C. and Ruth (Moubry) Little. He was the third of eight children. In 1927, the family moved back to Palo, IA. He was a long-time resident of Atkins, Newhall, and Cedar Rapids. On December 12, 1945, George married LaVonne Lint.

Delores "Dee" Phillippe, 73, of Belle Plaine, passed away in her home under the care of Essence of Life Hospice on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020.A public graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Eternal Love, with Certified Celebrant Jim Parton officiating.As mandated by proclamation, social distancing must be practiced.

Military rites will be performed at the church by the Marine Military Funeral Honors and the George G. Luckey American Legion Post.

B. Andrew Wright officiating. Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.

Alfred R. Lee, 89, of Brandon, IA formerly of Otterville, IA died on Sunday August 2, 2020 at his home in Brandon, IA.Al was born on July 7, 1931 in Elk City, Kansas the son of Rueben M. and Anna L. (James) Lee. He attended the Elk City Schools and went into the United States Army in 1948. He served with pride and was awarded the Purple Heart for being wounded during the Korean War.

Jessica Crane-Munoz officiating. The family will greet friends following the memorial service, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, also at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at Orange Township Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa, with Chaplain Dwayne Potter officiating. Christopher S. Janss, 28, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at his home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Chris was born Nov. 12, 1991, to Scott and Jane (Haggenjos) Janss in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated Belle Plaine High School with honors, earning himself valedictorian for the Class of 2010, and continued his education at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
