Lawrence W. Hess

Lawrence W. Hess, 98, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22. 2020 at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospice in Cedar Rapids.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, September 28, 2020 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton with Rev. Brian Channel officiating.  Masks should be worn and social distancing will be practiced at the church.

Ronald Dale Clemann

Ronald Dale “goat or billy goat” Clemann, age 68, passed away suddenly Monday, September 7, 2020 at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A celebration of life will be held at the Keystone Turner Hall on September 25th, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm.  Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. Ron was born on May 8, 1952, the son of Wayne and Evelyn (Coleman) Clemann.

Bernice E. Wiskus Jones

Bernice E. Wiskus Jones, 88, died Sunday, September 20th, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following complications from a fall.  Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 26th at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton with Rev. Julene M. (Lenaburg) Udell

Julene M. (Lenaburg) Udell, 58, died Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.      She was born January 29, 1962 in Waterloo to Dale and Valetta (Van De Venter) Lenaburg.  She graduated from Benton Community High School in 1980 and later earned an associate degree from Kirkwood Community College.

Mackenzie Marie Kvam

Mackenzie Marie Kvam, 16, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away suddenly September 16, 2020 from a vehicle accident in Keystone, IA.Mackenzie was born October 20, 2003 to Shelley Kostohryz and Andrew Kvam in Winona, MN. At the age of three Mackenzie moved with her mom and step dad David to Belle Plaine, where she became a part of the Benton Community. As a junior at Benton Community High School she played the alto saxophone in the marching band.

Laureen A. Sheronick

Laureen A. Sheronick, 68, of Van Horne, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, surrounded by her loving family from complications of pancreatic cancer. Tamara (Tammy) Rose Purdy, 39, of New London, passed away on September 20, 2020, in Tyler, Texas. She was born November 21, 1980 in Independence, Iowa to Roger and Rose Purdy.Funeral services for Tammy Purdy will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton, Texas with Rev. Shirley Ann Easler

Shirley Ann Easler, 84, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed on peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 13, 2020, at Westwing Place in DeWitt Iowa. Shirley Ann Hoepner was born to Edward James and Thelma Gladys {Eckert) Hoepner on January 12, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She grew up in Vinton, Iowa.
