Jackie Lee Kimm
Jackie Lee Kimm was born on November 15, 1935 in Blairstown, Iowa and died in Frostburg, Maryland on June 25, 2024.He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, San Diego in 1953 and was honorably discharged July 2, 1956. He was honored for being a member of The American Legion for 60 years. He was an Auto Body Mechanic for 50 years.Jack is survived by his second wife Katherine Kimm, stepdaughter Sheila K. Perry Kyle Hummel (88), a life-long Vinton resident passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024.Kyle was born to Perry Joseph and Mary (Paisley) Hummel in Woodbury County, Iowa on July 23, 1935, as the seventh child of nine. With a twinkle in his eye, he would say: “You know… I AM the son of Joseph and Mary…” His humor and his relationship with the Church and Jesus were things he liberally shared with his family throughout his life. Terry Lee Merchant, 67 passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the Vinton Lutheran Home.Terry was born on October 29, 1956 in Vinton to Elsie and Carl Merchant. Terry’s mother passed away at his birth and Terry was adopted and raised by Willard and Mildred Merchant.Terry enjoyed listening to music, watching old movies, and old tv shows. Lynn S. Schulte, 77, of Prole, IA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 11 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Garrison, with Pastor Adam Baumann officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 27, at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton, and one hour prior to service at the church on Friday.
