Marjorie E. Krug, 87, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Vinton, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Melvin L. Vogt
VINTON: Melvin L. Vogt, 80, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness.
Private Family Graveside Services will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery near Vinton.
The public is invited to a Celebration of Melvin's life and a dinner will be held beginning at 4:30 PM, Friday, June 27th at the US Bank Community Bldg. Glenn E. King

Glenn E. King, 85, of Blairstown died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Salem United Methodist Church in Van Horne with Rev. Rose Marie Calderon-Khan officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown with Graveside Military Rites conducted by the M. Myron 'Mike' Richart
VINTON: Myron "Mike" Richart, 86, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart following a brief illness.

VINTON: Sally Craig, age 71, of Clarion, formerly of Vinton, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Mason City.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church in Vinton. Friends may register at the church from 1:00 PM until service time.
Sally was born on October 27, 1942 in Brainerd, MN, the daughter of Paul and Eunice (Pratt) Fetherkile.
Rev. David Fye
The Rev. Mr. David Fye died June 10 in Vinton.
Born Aug. 7, 1925, to Elmer and Bess Fye, in Cresco, he graduated Cresco High School, served as a medic in the Army in World War II, then graduated from Iowa State University.
In 1947, he married Charlotte Taylor. He had a forestry-related career until 1963 when he attended the seminary at the
University of Dubuque. Doris I. Cook
LA PORTE CITY – Doris I. Cook, 98, of La Porte City, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton due to natural causes.
Doris is survived by two daughters: Nelda Gilliam of St. Louis, MO, and Nancy (Craig) Mahood of Mt. Auburn.
No local services are planned. Doris will be laid to rest with her husband near Marysville, Kansas, at a later date. Joan Carol Miller
