Genevieve Ruth Kromminga, 85, died Jan. 1, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone, with the Rev. Andrew Wright officiating. Private committal services will be held at Keystone Cemetery. VINTON – Wanda M. Johnson, 84, of Vinton, died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at her home in Vinton. Per her wishes, her body will be cremated and her remains will be laid to rest with her husband in Michigan.
Wanda was born December 31, 1927, in Greenville, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Blanche Williams Black. She attended school in Greenville and worked as a seamstress.

URBANA – Bob McElrath, 69, of Urbana, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the VA Health Care System in Iowa City following a sudden illness.

Mary Weideman passed from this world peacefully, at home, on December 22, 2012 after a 2 1/2 year struggle with colon cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
