CEDAR RAPIDS: Gladys Dulin Smee, 85, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Scottsdale, AZ and Vinton, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness.

VINTON - Phyllis Ann Borleske, wife of the Reverend Philip A. Borleske of Vinton, Iowa, died Ash Wednesday morning, February 22, 2012, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab Center in Vinton following an extended illness.
She was born January 29, 1943, in Hampton, Iowa, to J. Maurice and Hilda Christensen Akers and was united in marriage to Phil Borleske in Dows, Iowa, on August 9, 1964. Thomas Peter Chris Jensen
Thomas Peter Chris Jensen, (father of Christine (Chris) Elliott of Vinton) age 99, died Thursday February 16, 2012 at the Lutheran Home for the Aged in Vinton, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Garrison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lanette Sue Van officiating. Interment will be held at the Garrison Cemetery.
