Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2012 at Phillips Family Center (605 Second Avenue) in Vinton with Pastor Ed Kraft officiating.

VINTON: Mildred Louise Geiger, 86, of Lone Tree and formerly of Vinton, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her home in Lone Tree, IA following a sudden illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton. Private Committal Services will be held at the Urbana Cemetery.

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Ardel Barta as Celebrant.

Victor—Bart Kruse, age 53, died unexpectedly Friday, August, 10, 2012, at his home in Victor of natural causes. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Barton Anthony Kruse was born June 8, 1959 in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Duane and Nancy Karr Kruse. He grew up in Vinton and graduated from Vinton High School and attended Hawkeye Community College.

Verne Freie,83, of Newhall, lost his battle with cancer and went to his Heavenly Home on August 6, 2012.
A celebration of his life will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Steven Rempfer will officiate.
