Beverly J. Anderson

Beverly J. Anderson VINTON – Beverly Jean Anderson, 79, of Vinton, Iowa, died peacefully Friday, June 1st, surrounded by her family. She said goodbye to her best friend and husband of 60 years, John, son Craig and his wife, Linda, and daughter Jody Berces and passed away. Beverly leaves behind her husband; two children: Craig Anderson and wife Linda, and Jody Berces and husband Roy; three grandchildren: Jennifer Anderson Zieser and husband Steve, Jill Anderson Louzek and husband Dan, and Anna Berces; three great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Thomas and John Louzek; and her sister, Dondaleen McCaleb.

Peggy Marie  (McKenna) Krafka   Peggy Marie Krafka, 54 of Solon, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her home following a courageous battle against breast/brain cancer. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Solon. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Solon. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Solon and an hour prior to services Saturday.

Bernard Burry   Bernard Joseph Burry, 90, of Keystone, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at home in Keystone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne, with Father Brian Dellaert as celebrant. Friends may register at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.

Joel Francis Meek

Joel Francis Meek, 72, of Buckingham was born to Howard and Eunice (Glendy) Meek in rural Tama County on July 13, 1939. Joel and Janet Hagge were married at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama on March 23, 1958.  He was employed as a production machine operator for John Deere for 31 years before retiring.  Joel spent his free time enjoying the outdoors; hunting and fishing.
