VAN HORNE: Lois M. Struck, 76, died Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following an extended illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2011 at Phillips Family Center, 605 2nd Ave, in Vinton. Private Committal Services will be held at the Keystone Cemetery.

Theodore 'Ted' William Wyckoff
URBANA- Ted Wyckoff, son of Margie and Russell L. Wyckoff of Vinton, Iowa, was born Dec. 18, 1949, and passed away Sept. 15, 2011, at the age of 61.
He attended school in Urbana and Vinton and graduated from Urbana in 1968. On Jan. 15, 1969, he married Connie Ferguson in Urbana. To this union was born one son, John Michael. The couple later divorced.

VINTON: Jo Warner, 82 of Vinton died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton following a brief illness.
The family will receive friends at Phillips Family Center, 605 Second Avenue in Vinton from 4 – 6 PM, Wednesday, September 14, 2011. There will be no public services and Private Family Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

VINTON – Vincent Earl Blank, 84, of Vinton, died peacefully Thursday, September 8, 2011, at his home in Vinton.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2011, at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton with Pastor Jim Blair officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 11, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton.

Velma R. (Parmater) Blough, 88, of Branson, Mo., formerly of Vinton, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at home following a brief illness. Private committal services will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are with Phillips Funeral Home, Vinton.
Velma was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Vinton, the daughter of C. Earle and Elizabeth (Ross) Parmater. She graduated from Vinton High School in 1941 and married Orval R.

Leona Anna Meyer, 94, of Vinton, formerly of Urbana and Williamsburg, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at the Vinton Lutheran Home following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Phillips Family Center (due to storm damage to Trinity Lutheran Church), 605 Second Ave., Vinton, with the Rev. Clarke E. Frederick officiating.
