Ray Wayne Hines
Ray Wayne Hines, 100, of Belle Plaine, went home to be with the Lord and to join other loved ones on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, surrounded by his loving family. Services were held Saturday, March 24, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, by the Rev. Charles Johnson with burial at Rector Cemetery, Chelsea.
Mary L. (Holub) Chapman
Mary L. Chapman, 73, of Tipton, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at home in her sleep. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 24, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial was in Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
Mary Louise Holub was born on March 22, 1938 in Vinton, Iowa and was the daughter of George and Myrtle Beth Rogers Holub. She graduated in 1957 from Vinton High School.
Agnes Thompson
MARION – Agnes Thompson, 96, a Marion resident for the past 2 ½ years, formerly of Vinton, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a sudden massive stroke.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vinton with Pastor Mark C.
Betty J. Mease
VAN HORNE: Betty J. Mease, 81, died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne on Tuesday, March 27 2012 at 10:30 a.m., with Father Brian Dellaert as Celebrant. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.
Martin D. Richter
Martin D. Richter, 58, the adopted son of Wayne and Melvina (McCoy) Richter, went to be with the Lord Dec. 20, 2011, at Terrace Gardens in Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was born April 29, 1953, and attended school in Vinton.
Martin is survived by his mother, Melvina of Marion; his daughters, Kelly, Sarah and Lisa; his son, Scott; and seven grandchildren.
John Feuerbach
John Feuerbach, 65, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a brief illness with Lymphoma.
John was born July 15, 1946, in Belle Plaine, to Kenneth and Evelyn (Konicek) Feuerbach, and graduated from the Keystone High School in 1964. He served his nation in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War and was a member of Merkel-Bockholt American Legion Post 107 of Keystone.

NEWHALL – Terry Lee “Hermie” Cohrt, 63, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, formerly of Newhall, Iowa, died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Ellsworth Care Center in Ellsworth, WI, following a brief bout with cancer.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at St. John’s Cemetery in Newhall with Rev. Steve Rempfer officiating.
Orville Walter Meeker
Orville Walter Meeker, 84, passed away suddenly at Washington County Hospital, Washington, on March 15, 2012.
Orville was the quintessential Iowa farmer, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many. He came from modest means and worked hard and instilled his work ethic into his family. He led a Christian life. He was a founding member of St.
