Gretchen Gladys Kullmer

Gretchen Gladys Kullmer was born on Dec. 4, 1932, in Independence, Iowa, the first born to Edward Thedens and Ruth Schmidt Thedens. She was promoted to her heavenly home on May 21, 2024, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo after a brief illness. She spent her growing up years in Jesup and attended the First Presbyterian Church with her family and on Rally Day, September 1942, she gave her heart and life to Jesus.

Thomas William Busenbark

Thomas William Busenbark, 83, of Shellsburg, Iowa, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024 surrounded by his family and beloved dog, Sammy from complications of Alzheimer’s.A celebration of life will be held from 2-6 p.m. at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg on Saturday, June 8, 2024.Tom was born April 26, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of John and Erma (Street) Busenbark.

Randy Ray Olson

Randy Ray Olson, age 68, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital.Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Oregon Township Cemetery with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29th at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home.

Garry B. Krutzfeldt

 Garry B. Krutzfeldt, 84, passed away, surrounded by family on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone with Rev. Stephen Preus officiating.  Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery, with light refreshments to follow at the church.

Lola (Boddicker) Jacobi, 75, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, following a lengthy illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Newhall, with Father Jacob Dunne as Celebrant. A Vigil Service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, May 24, at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton. Those not attending the Vigil Service may visit with the family from 4:30 to 7:00 p.

James Lowell (JR) Ryan

James Lowell (JR) Ryan (97), of Hollywood, FL, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024. He was born to Wallace and Lucille Ryan on September 10, 1926 in Chelsea, IA. He and his younger brother, Lyle, grew up on a farm near Hartwick, IA. It was here that his values and strong work ethic were instilled. Growing up, he enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, and playing baseball and basketball, both of which he coached during his teaching career.

Linda Lea Davis

Linda Lea Davis, age 61, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on May 13, 2024, at Mary Greeley Medical Center.Per her wishes and her family, cremation rites will be accorded. Family and close friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at Mound Cemetery in Watkins, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda’s name may be directed to the family for a later designation.

Nathan John Grieder

Nathan John Grieder, 85 of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at Keystone Care Center, Keystone, IA, surrounded by family. Nathan was born April 24, 1939 in Belle Plaine, the son of John Jacob and Myrtle Evalena (Brown) Grieder. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School the class of 1957. Following high school Nathan enlisted in the United States Air Force.

David John Pippert, 82, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street), Vinton. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Garrison, with Pastor Adam Baumann officiating.

Marion Helen (Deeny) Broghammer

Marion Helen (Deeny) Broghammer, 91, peacefully passed away at Stoney Brook Village Thursday, May 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving children.Marion was born August 18, 1932 at home in Jackson Junction, Iowa. She was the beloved child of Francis "FP" and Loretta "Laura" (Nienhaus) Deeny. She attended the Waucoma, Iowa schools, graduating from Waucoma High School in 1950.
