Dear Editor,In Senator Bob Dole's passing it is important to recognize his efforts in establishing the WWII Memorial. He often greeted the Honor Flights when he was able.

Editor: I served as a USAF Captain during the Vietnam era; we called it SEA (Southeast Asia Theater).  I did not serve permanent party my main duty was Nuclear Alert (SAC) Strategic Air Command; I was a Squadron Copilot on KC-135 Boeing Stratotanker aircraft I was only there Temporary duty a short time.
