Laugh with Kathy: You can write
The first time someone told me I could write I was in 8th grade and my English teacher recommended me for Advanced English. She also assigned me to be the sports editor for the school newspaper for my 9th grade year. I was shocked. She told me that I had a gift for writing. Unfortunately, I didn't have a gift for sports, and I was stumped on how this was going to work out for me.
It's Political Season time for Spring Training
The other day I made a rare trip to the grocery store. Hey, I ran out of milk and while the place used to be packed to the gills, I opted to spend a little more at the gas stations rather than wade into a sea of bodies for half a gallon of milk, I'm weird that way. Laugh with Kathy: Hold the Line
While international travel seems like just a vague memory now that we are in our second month of self isolation due to Covid-19, I know that we will be packing our bags and heading out to explore the world again in time. Since I won’t be trying to clear customs anytime soon, and hopefully, Custom’s has a shorter memory than Homeland Security (long story, but they emailed me about one of my blog posts – seriously!) I thought I would share my difficulty in clearing customs.
To the Class of 2020
To the Class of 2020:God, this has to suck; it just has to. I’ll never forget when we studied Roman numerals in elementary school and figured out what our class year was in those (MCMLCXXV…look it up), we were obsessed with that year and all of the magic that would surround it. I’m not sure if you guys figured that out with Roman numerals (although MMXX is pretty badass if you get right down to it), but the magic part of your senior year has probably been on your minds for a long time and that’s just natural.
