No. 1 Union advances in Regional volleyball with victory over VS

Senior Megan Hudson is leading Union in Kills and is the team's second-leading server. Led by seniors Megan Hudson(16 Kills) and Peyton Parker (31 of 32 in serve attempts) the Union volleyball team breezed past Vinton-Shellsburg in three sets (25-5, 25-6, 26-3) in the Class 3A Region 5 opener Wednesday in La Porte City.

The Viking varsity cross country team won the first place trophy in their home meet on Tuesday. The Vinton-Shellsburg High School and Middle School cross country teams only hold one home meet each season, and that took place Tuesday in a new location: The VSHS campus.
