Deadline for Mini Masters Golf Tournament
This is the last week to sign up for the Mini Masters Mini Golf Tournament to take place on Saturday, August 13th from 2pm – 4pm at the Vinton Skate and Activity Center. Knights to begin 2016 football season vs. Marion
Union is now in Class 2A, District 4, along with Dysersville Beckman, Western Dubuque (Cascade), Waterloo Columbus, Monticello, North Fayette Valley and Oelwein.

Vikings begin season vs CPU; will play Benton Week 9
The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings will begin their first of two seasons in Class 3A, District 3 football, on Aug. 26 with a renewed rivalry game with Center Point-Urbana. It's been several years since the Vikings and Stormin' Pointers have competed.
The Vikings will also end their season the next two years with the rivalry game that for years has kicked off VS Football: Benton Community.
