With the agenda and minutes approved, the Supervisors moved into the agenda.The farmland lease between Benton County and Green Acres Ranch was discussed, with a note to be added for next year's lease. The signature was authorized for the lease. The Supervisors approved the check for a mailing from the Auditor's office for Handwrite for Master's Touch, LLC.

This last week, the Iowa House passed bills involving education. House File 2612 was passed to make improvements to special education outcomes of our kids. This bill has big changes compared to an AEA bill introduced by Governor Kim Reynolds in January. Senate panel advances bill to restrict, but not ban, traffic cameras

Iowa lawmakers are taking another stab at trying to control traffic cameras with the overhaul of a bill that would restrict the uses and locations of automated law enforcement devices and regulate the revenues generated by them.Legislators have been wrestling for years over issues posed by the installation of cameras that can detect speeding or traffic signal violations and issue tickets to a vehicle owner.
