"Growing Connections" is the theme of the 17th annual Iowa Women in Agriculture Conference at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny on August 3. The 2023 conference will explore challenges posed by agriculture's current economic and environmental climate: the 2023 Farm Bill, marketing scenarios, soil and water quality initiatives, financial outlook, social media advocacy, transition/succession planning strategies, and the roles of ag women in this dynamic and growing industry.

We are grateful for the support that Vinton and the surrounding communities have given us these past 43 years.It has truly been an honor working with everyone.

A ServSafe Training class will be available on July 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Vinton. Pre-registration is required and needed by June 27th.  If you are a food service manager or an employee, this is the class for you.

Vinton Unlimited and some of its members stopped at a new local business, to hold a ribbon cutting. The group welcomed the staff at the Yappy Hour Pet Spa located at 1104 West 3rd St.

The Heartland Regional Food Business Center will combine resources from Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and OklahomaFood systems partners from five states are working together on a newly funded grant project from the United States Department of Agriculture that will create a resource hub for regional food systems practitioners in Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma.

Nutritious Noon Meal: On-Site, Carryout, and Home Delivered Meals are available Sunday thru Friday. Suggested contribution for individuals age 60 or older.

 Funding will support Early Childhood programming in Benton, Black Hawk, and Tama Counties Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) received $10,000 from the Guernsey Charitable Foundation to support Early Childhood programming in Benton, Black Hawk, and Tama Counties.
