VSHS concerts are back!!! October 19

Our first concert of the year, Fall Choral Preview, will include 7th & 8th grade combined choirs, Treble Choir, and Concert Choir. We present this concert as an "informance" - where we will share with our audience some things we've worked hard on already this fall. We will also perform several numbers that are sure to leave you humming and tapping your toes.

In Depth: No Time to Die

"No Time to Die" opens nationwide, and AT THE PALACE, onFriday, October 8. James Bond will play in our regular weekend schedule, Friday and Saturday at 2 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday at 7 pm. Several tickets have already been purchased at vintonpalace.org. Reserve your seats online now or buy at the door! The trailer we've been playing at the Palace for "No Time to Die" announces a release date of February 2020.

ACT I to present 2nd show by Tom Milligan

ACT I would like to thank the community for their support during this past year during the pandemic. As a special treat to the community, the group will present Tom Milligan in three different presentations. Milligan performs one-man shows highlighting the lives of three different men. The first show was in September. The second show will take place at the Palace Theatre on October 17 and is free to the public.

In Depth: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

This weekend, October 1-3, is your last chance to watch what has been touted as Marvel's best yet, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," on the Palace big screen! Catch it in our regular weekend shows, Friday and Saturday at 2 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday at 7 pm.Lobby talk from patrons of "Shang-Chi" last week was quite enthusiastic! Several announced they were absolutely coming again.

Red Cedar Chamber Music to perform at the Center Point Library October 14

The Red Cedar Chamber Music will bring live music from living composers to the Center Point Library when they present their "Licorice Schtick" concert at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14. There is no charge to attend.Red Cedar regulars violinist Miera Kim and cellist Carey Bostian will be joined by clarinetist Christine Bellomy and violist Elizabeth Oakes.

In Depth: Shang Chi and the Legend of the Rings

"Shang Chi and the Legend of the Rings" opens Friday, September 24, and plays in our regular weekend schedule, Friday and Saturday, 2 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday at 7 pm. "Shang Chi" is rated PG-13 and runs 132 minutes.Marvel fans rejoice! Many say this is the best of the series. Indeed, Rotten Tomatoes rates it a FRESH 92% from critics and a resounding 98% from audiences.

In Depth: SUICIDE SQUAD and SCHEDULE CHANGE

The Palace opens tonight, September 17 with The Suicide Squad, playing in our regular schedule, Friday and Saturday at 2 pm and 7 pm and Sunday at 7 pm. The Suicide Squad is rated R and runs 132 minutes.This movie is the second in the series about a ragtag, nasty, maybe misunderstood group of jailed Super Heroes, let out to help save the world from bad guys worse than them.

In Depth: Free Guy and Tom Milligan

So much happening at the Palace this weekend!FREE GUYPlaying Friday and Saturday, September 10 and 11 at 2 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday, September 12 at 7 pm is "Free Guy," rated PG-13. "Free Guy" runs 1 hour and 55 minutes - that's a medium to large popcorn on the Mike Hanson scale! This fast-paced romp gets its rating due to fantasy violence and language.

In Depth: Paw Patrol

Parents, grandparents, and favorite aunts and uncles, if you've been waiting for the first time to bring a young child to a movie - this is the weekend! "PAW Patrol: The Movie" plays the Palace Friday, September 3 through Sunday, September 5, in 2 pm matinees on Friday and Saturday, and 7 pm showings Friday, Saturday, and Sunday."PAW Patrol" is rated G and runs 88 minutes.

MAJOR SCHEDULE CHANGE AT THE PALACE

The Palace reopened on April 30, 2021, after a 14-month pandemic closure. We survived that frightening year thanks to the generosity of our wonderful community partners. We were awarded several grants, both locally and nationally. Our loyal patron base donated to the cause throughout the summer and winter months, for popcorn, posters, or just because.
