"Oh, the thinks you can think! Oh the places you'll go!" ACT I to hold auditions
ACT I of Benton County is pleased to announce that we will be holding auditions for our upcoming musical production of Seussical the Musical. Auditions. The performance dates for Seussical the Musical are scheduled for August 4th and 5th at 7 PM, August 6th at 2 PM and 7 PM, and August 7th at 2 PM. will be held on Sunday, If you would like to audition for a part in the musical, audition dates are as follows: April 24th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, and on Monday, April 25th from 6-8 PM, at the ACT I Centre located at the old West School.
The Schmidt Brothers to hold a Concert at the Palace April 22
Many of you in the area know immediately who I'm talking about when I say, "The Schmidt Brothers." The three brothers who perform regularly together will be holding a concert at the Vinton Palace Theatre on Friday, April 22nd at 7:30 p.m. The group only plans to perform in Vinton one time this year and it will be at this one-night-only event at the Palace.
Cedar River Whalers and Todd Frank to perform April 24
The Cedar River Whalers band and Vinton musician Todd Frank will be in Garrison for a Sunday afternoon performance April 24th. Singer Rachel Dedrick and guitarist John Berinobis will combine their talents for a few tunes as well! Come join us for an afternoon of Americana, originals and country music! This will be fun!The concert will take place at the Farmers Mercantile Hall located at 100 West Main St.

Cabaret program Friday, March 4
On Friday, March 4th at 7 pm in the high school auditorium, join the high school Bands and Choirs for a long-awaited night of pop, show tunes, special acts, and more! This special concert hasn't been held in THREE years! Due to the pandemic, our last day of in-person school in 2020 was the same day as this concert, which had to be canceled that very morning.
Old Creamery Theatre Closes its doors after 50 years
If you attended school in Vinton in the 70s, you know that the highlight of the year happened when the Old Creamery Theatre came to school. You knew that it was going to be funny, and that there would be laughs. Another victim of the pandemic is the Old Creamery Theatre. The longest-running professional theater company will be closing its doors.
Vinton Palace is back up and running!
Be sure to get the Palace back on your schedule this weekend! A new server has been installed which means they will be showing the movie, "Encanto" will be shown this weekend!Please note: There will not be a matinee this Saturday, but there will be a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday. An encore weekend of American Underdog is scheduled for the weekend of the 18th.
