Catfish Keith to Perform at Farmers Mercantile Hall in Garrison

Catfish Keith is scheduled to perform on Sunday, July 17 World-touring acoustic blues pioneer CATFISH KEITH has established himself as one of the most exciting country blues performers of our time. He will be in Garrison for a Sunday afternoon of foot-stomping, deep delta blues and American roots music. He will be at the Farmers Mercantile Hall on Sunday, July 17 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Admission is $12 (children can enjoy the concert FREE!)The Garrison Public Library will be providing refreshments during intermission for a freewill donation.

Act I Announces Auditions for Genevieve's Nutcracker

ACT I of Benton County is thrilled to introduce its own theatrical version of the beloved NUTCRACKER classic.With an original script incorporating speaking as well as dancing roles, the production will be presented at the Palace Theatre Nov. 18-20 as part of Vinton’s annual holiday downtown celebration.Afternoon staging and dance rehearsals will take place at the Palace in June to set the production.

Farmers Mercantile Hall in Garrison hosts concert

Rachel Dedrick Sunday afternoon found a packed crowd of more than 70 in the Farmers Mercantile Hall in downtown Garrison. Usually about once a month the hall holds a concert bringing together local talent and talent from afar. This week found the expertise of the Cedar River Whalers made up of Patty O'Connor, Phil Thomas and Steve Schott (and one member who had to miss the gig due to being quarantined in Ireland).
