Gates to perform in Theater Cedar Rapids

Gates will play Grandpa Prophater in Meet Me in St. Louis, this time for Theater Cedar Rapids Just a little over a year ago, local resident David Gates performed in a play at the Palace Theater called "Meet Me in St, Louis." He played the part of Grandpa Prophater at that time. He will reprise the role in a performance at the Theater Cedar Rapids.  "Again, I have been "type-cast," said Gates, "They needed someone 'older' to be Grandpa and I certainly meet that definition.

Red Cedar Chamber Music to Entertain in Center Point October 13

Red Cedar Chamber Music will be back in Center Point for a free concert at the Andersen Center Point Public Library on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m.Violinist Miera Kim and cellist Carey Bostian will play new pieces inspired by folk music from around the world. The concert is called “Fresh Folk.” One composition, “A Culture of Courage,” honors the Ukrainians.

Catfish Keith to Perform at Farmers Mercantile Hall in Garrison

Catfish Keith is scheduled to perform on Sunday, July 17 World-touring acoustic blues pioneer CATFISH KEITH has established himself as one of the most exciting country blues performers of our time. He will be in Garrison for a Sunday afternoon of foot-stomping, deep delta blues and American roots music.
