CPU Middle School To present Once Upon a Mattress March 30-31
The CPU 7th and 8th Grade Choir presents Sweets and Theatrical Treats during the performance of "Once Upon a Matress."Senior citizens of the Center Point/Urbana community are invited to a matinee of "Once Upon a Matress." Prior to the show there will be coffee, treats and other drinks provided. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. on March 30th, at the CPU Middle School, with the show beginning at 1:30 p. Silent Night in Algona features Iowa history during WWII
The Vinton Palace Theatre will be featuring, "Silent Night in Algona" over the weekend. During World War II, from September through December of 1944, Algona, Iowa was the site of a Prisoner of War camp. Holding Germans who didn't want to be involved in the conflict, the prisoners provide much-needed help to offset the shortage of labor caused by the war effort. Voyagers Spring Show February 25, 7:00 p.m.
The 2022-23 Voyager season wraps up next Saturday with our much anticipated Spring Show! Join us Saturday, February 25th at 7:00 p.m. for a night full of entertainment! This year’s show features solos, team routines, our Co-Ed routine, Voyager Kids Clinic dancers, Joan Cooling dancers, door prizes, and more! Tickets are $7 at the door; children 5 and under are free.
Frank to Host Open Mic Nite at Brickside Brew N Chew 2/17/23 6 p.m.
Brickside Brew N Chew will be the location of an Open Mic Nite hosted by Todd Frank. The original. "Over 80 for Brady" group of ladies, consisted of five women: Elaine, Betty, Anita, Pat, and Claire. Friends for more than 70 years, they united in their love for the New England Patriots and star quarterback Tom Brady after they all became widows. Groundhog Day arrives at the Vinton Palace on February 1st
Groundhog Day is a comedy movie from 1993. Bill Murray, as Phil Connor, a cynical television weatherman, is sent out to cover the annual emergence of the groundhog from its hole in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. He gets caught in a blizzard that he didn't predict and is trapped in a time warp. He is doomed to relive Groundhog Day over and over again until he gets it right.
