Switchback Returns November 12 to Farmers Mercantile

Switchback returns to Garrison for a Sunday afternoon of Celtic Soul and American Roots! Switchback is the award-winning duo of Brian FitzGerald and Martin McCormack. Drawing on traditional Celtic music and original Americana songs, they play an exciting mix of mandolin, guitar, and bass, with harmonies that have won them comparisons to the Louvin Brothers, Everly Brothers, and Simon & Garfunkel.

RED CEDAR CHAMBER MUSIC AT CENTER POINT LIBRARY

RAGBRAI Documentary Coming to the Palace Thursday, night

The documentary, Shift, will be shown on Thursday night, at the Vinton Palace. The film will begin at 7:00 p.m.Can you find yourself in the middle of nowhere? The story of RAGBRAI is told through ground-breaking photography and intimate interviews with three riders and a pair of community leaders as they overcome extreme conditions and personal hurdles to find peace, redemption and clarity while bicycling across Iowa.

Wolf Creek Players gearing up for their next performance

Wolf Creek Players will be holding a readthrough audition, for ”Unnecessary Farce” written by Paul Slade Smith, and directed by Deb Kloster. Mary Poppins will arrive at the Palace Theatre in August

Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's version of Mary Poppins will be arriving at the Vinton Palace Theatre courtesy of ACT I of Benton County. The show will be performed on August 3-6.Mary Poppins is a musical based on the stories of P.I. Travers and Walt Disney's film. This presentation is made possible by the kind donations of the L.J. Kirkland Trust and the City of Vinton Local Option Sales Tax administered by the Vinton Community Foundation and the 2022-23 GEMS who support these productions.
