Murder at the Speakeasy, Friday, November 10
Happening THIS Friday, November 10, travel back to the roaring twenties to test your skills of deduction during this Murder Mystery fundraiser. The fun will be at the Vinton Country Club beginning at 6:30 p.m. and running until 10:00 p.m.Do you have the moxie to come to the Gatsby Speakeasy? This juice joint is the cat's meow, but watch out for the mobsters and their molls. Steel Magnolias presented by the Wolf Creek Players in Dysart this weekend
This weekend the Wolf Creek Players will present Steel Magnolias at the Union Middle School in Dysart. The school is located at 505 West St.The show will be shown on Friday, November 3rd at 7:00 pm, Saturday, November 4th at 2:00 pm and at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, November 5th at 2:00 pm.Tickets are $10 each and $5 for children. (Group rates are available.
Switchback Returns November 12 to Farmers Mercantile
Switchback returns to Garrison for a Sunday afternoon of Celtic Soul and American Roots! Switchback is the award-winning duo of Brian FitzGerald and Martin McCormack. RAGBRAI Documentary Coming to the Palace Thursday, night
The documentary, Shift, will be shown on Thursday night, at the Vinton Palace. The film will begin at 7:00 p.m.Can you find yourself in the middle of nowhere? The story of RAGBRAI is told through ground-breaking photography and intimate interviews with three riders and a pair of community leaders as they overcome extreme conditions and personal hurdles to find peace, redemption and clarity while bicycling across Iowa.
