Frank to Host Open Mic Nite at Brickside Brew N Chew 2/17/23 6 p.m.

80 For Brady at the Palace Theatre

The original. "Over 80 for Brady" group of ladies, consisted of five women: Elaine, Betty, Anita, Pat, and Claire. Friends for more than 70 years, they united in their love for the New England Patriots and star quarterback Tom Brady after they all became widows. Todd Frank to entertain at the Library 2/16/23 5:00 p.m.

Todd Frank, singer and songwriter, will be at the Vinton Public Library on Thursday evening, February 16. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. Frank will provide live music at the library. The public is invited to attend and enjoy the music.The library is located at 510 2nd Ave., Vinton.

Groundhog Day arrives at the Vinton Palace on February 1st

Groundhog Day is a comedy movie from 1993. Bill Murray, as Phil Connor, a cynical television weatherman, is sent out to cover the annual emergence of the groundhog from its hole in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. He gets caught in a blizzard that he didn't predict and is trapped in a time warp. He is doomed to relive Groundhog Day over and over again until he gets it right.

Lindauer to Premiere Five short films and videos at the Palace Theatre Dec. 29

Noah Lindauer, a graduate of Vinton-Shellsburg, will premiere five of his short films and music videos. The projects reflect his first year and a half at William Penn University in Oskaloosa.  For all of them, he is the writer, director, and producer. Among the films will be  "Attraction: Small Town Iowa," a short documentary highlighting four locations in Iowa: The American Gothic House, Maquoketa Caves, Amana Colonies, and The Grotto of Redemption.
