State Board of Canvassers certifies Iowa’s 2022 general election

Secretary of State Paul Pate announced the Iowa State Board of Canvassers officially certified the results of the 2022 general election on Thursday. Election turnout was the second highest in state history for a midterm election, with 1,230,416 voters casting ballots.“I’m very proud of Iowans for stepping up in high numbers once again,” Secretary Pate said.

Work release escape of Cody Tarrance

Cody Michael Tarrance, convicted of Domestic Abuse Assault-3rd or Subsequent Offense in Black Hawk County, failed to report to the Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility as required on Saturday. Tarrance is a 34-year-old white male, height 5'9", and weighs 212 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on November 8, 2022. Persons with information on Tarrance's whereabouts should contact local police.
