Request for Better Tomorrows Funding

The Better Tomorrows Board announces the availability of the 2015–2016 Request for Proposals (RFP), contingent upon receipt of Early Childhood (TANF) Funding and School-Ready Children Grant Funding.  The Better Tomorrows Early Childhood Iowa School Ready and Early Childhood (TANF) Grant is an initiative funded with state and federal dollars.

January 27, 2015                 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present.  The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.                 Moved by Hertle, seconded by Wiley, to approve the minutes of January 20, 2015 and January 26, 2015.

Benton County Board of Supervisors Minutes 1/26/15

January 26, 2015                 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in special session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present.  The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Emergency Operations Center in Vinton, Iowa.                 The purpose of the meeting was to participate in the public hearing on the emergency management FY16 budget.

From the Statehouse: Committee and budget work in 2nd week

Even though we officially had a short week, unofficially I worked all weekend and am still at it and still loving it.   My committees are Administrative Rules Review, Commerce, Government Oversight, State Government and Transportation.  Here’s what we did.:  ·        Administrative Rules -- Because I chair the committee, I did some training for my new members.

January 13, 2015 The Benton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Frese, Hertle and Wiley present.  The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve the minutes of January 6, 2015.  All members voting aye thereon.  Motion carried. Moved by Wiley, seconded by Hertle, to approve checks numbered 213043 through 213267, payroll checks numbered 138044 through 138058, and ACH deposits numbered 229 through 23040, for payment with the exception of check to Benton County Agricultural.
