School supplies will be collected from anyone that would like to donate. Supplies should be delivered to the First Christian Church by August 14. The church is located at: 1209 W 13th St, Vinton.

There are many tasks that the water department attends to. One that I never thought about was the upkeep of the fire hydrants. To be honest I've never spent a lot of time thinking about fire hydrants at all.

Virginia Gay Hospital to receive $466,000 grant from the USDA Rural Development

The USDA Rural Development has approved a grant of $466,600.00 to Virginia Gay Hospital. The investment will be used to help Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton recover from the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
